[SK] ICC Humanoid Dryads

Description
This mod retextures the dryads from Ideology to appear more humanoid, but keep their themes

Wasn't quite happy with any of the existing ideology dryad retextures for my more rimworld-style playthrough. ICC's looked great, but weren't for vanilla dryads so I've tried adapting them.

Only Ideology is required, any support for other mods will only take affect if you have the mod installed.

That should be completely compatible with this then. They will use these textures. I may test it when I have a chance just to confirm, but based on what you've said it should work fine. If you notice that it has issues for whatever reason, please let me know and I will look into it sooner

Dryads & Gauranlen Trees Rework + Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Dryads: Compatibility - Greater Dryads has it's own dryad def however they all use awakened dryad texture
their defName are "DVE_GreaterDryad_"+type
they also have the merge feature
conditional patch which removes merge class from all dryad

As much as I agree, I don't think I'd be able to do that, at least not anytime soon. I did add the hairstyles without the flowers as pawn hairdefs (would be more complicated for the flower ones because of the color), but that's about as far as I can go with my current skill, genes are still a bit beyond me

If I ever have the chance I'll give it a shot though, and if anyone else ever wants to make something like that I'd be happy to work with them on it

It would be REALLY sick if we could get some of these "parts" as genes. For example, the bark skin, the dryad arm, the hair types, etc. The textures from this mod would make a really awesome xenogene/xenotype mod.

The mod you mention *sounds* like it uses textures from Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Dryads and maybe resizes them and changes stats? If so, it will use the textures here.

Generally:
- If a mod has its *own* textures for its *own* dryads, I'd have to make replacements (likely not doing any more of those)
- If a mod refers to dryad textures from ideology or vanilla ideology expanded, you'll get humanoid dryads automatically
- If a mod replaces dryad textures from ideology or expanded, my mod will needed to be loaded after to get the humanoid dryads

Honestly, just try it. This mod shouldnt break anything. It only adds a couple hairstyles and replaces dryad textures. You can spawn in one 'greater' one in a test save to see if it looks how you expect.

Its a texture replacer, it replaces all dryad appearance regardless of when or how they are spawned. If they arent looking right you most likely have another texture replacer loaded after this. Make sure this is loaded near the end and definitely after any HD or overhaul texture mods

If you happen to find what mod is overwriting, I can make a load after rule probably. I accounted only for ones I know and use

So wait does this replace dryads appearance? And if so I'm guessing it doesn't work when you already have dryads or the nexus tree in place. I tried spawning one in and it remained the same, nothing humanoid.

I realized the strange shading is actually rimworld's dumb lighting system.

Can you explain the shading issue better? Are you using a lot of other mods? I fixed the moonwalking, but want to fix the other part too before updating and I'm not seeing it on my end
