Information for Travellers

The Colada system contains eight rocky worlds, one asteroid belt and one gas giant.

At some point in the distant past Colada's star Rodrigo captured the smaller star Bivar, creating a P-Type binary system. However, due to isotopic differences, some scientists hypothesis that Bivar was once a gas giant somehow relocated by an unknown ancient civilisation to conduct asterogenesis.

The Colada system sits on Gram Arm, an important Jump-1 trade route. The Class B Starport provides refined fuel processed from Colada’s ocean. There is a Sword Worlds naval base and a military base in the system.

The Colada system is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

Colada relies on off-world traders bringing in goods to maintain TL-11.

The planet Colada is an Agricultural, Non-industrial, Rich meso world with a Standard atmosphere and a moderate amount of surface water.

The planet Colada has a recovering biome in the aftermath of a nuclear war.

The planet Colada was colonised sometime in the -300s by settlers from the Old Earth Union. It became a member of the Triple Dominion in 104. Increasing competition for land around the sole ocean led in 212 to a civil war that turned nuclear. A large number of dirty fission-based weapons were used against military and civilian targets alike, causing widespread nuclear contamination.

This in turn caused an environmental collapse that Colada is only now recovering from.

As the ruins of the former industrial cities are still radioactive Colada has become an agricultural world. However, the devastated regions are the perfect place to train Sword Worlds military units. Colada also specialises in training mercenaries and is home to an elite force known as the Champion's Guard.

Colada is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The population of 2,370,000 mostly human sophonts are currently focused on a program to finally clear the contaminated remnants of the nuclear war.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
