The Hrunting system contains six rocky worlds, one asteroid belt and three gas giants.

Hrunting’s star Beowulf has cycles of intense flair activity followed by thousands of years of stability. These flares are slowly stripping the planet Hrunting’s water and cleared the system of icy bodies.

The Hrunting system sits on the junction of the Gram Arm, an important Jump-1 trade route, and access to the Entropic Worlds and the Gungnir Spur. It is also the closest system to the Zhodani Consulate.

The Hrunting system is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

The Class B Starport provides refined fuel processed from Hrunting’s seas. There is a major Sword Worlds naval base, and a military base located in the system.

Hrunting relies on off-world traders bringing in goods to maintain TL-9.

The planet Hrunting is a Rich meso world with a Standard atmosphere and a small amount of surface water.

The planet Hrunting has a primitive biome that is only just starting to colonise the land.

The planet Hrunting was first surveyed by the Darrians sometime in the -1000s. It was colonised sometime in the -300s by settlers from the Old Earth Union.

Hrunting is a Representative Democracy. The population of 30,000,000 mostly human sophonts deeply value their freedoms and have an uneasy relationship with the large Sword Worlds military presence in the system.

Hrunting is also a stronghold of the Aesirist Church.
