Immersive Legends: Bretonnia

Description

In Total War: Warhammer 3, armies often fall into the trap of becoming repetitive and boring in the late game as they rely on the same few units (leading to doomstacks).

To address this problem, Immersive Legends: Bretonnia was created, a mod that focuses on providing each Legendary Lord with distinct and thematic army compositions, ensuring that no two armies feel the same within Bretonnia (and hopefully other factions in the future).

Immersive Legends: Bretonnia diversifies the gameplay for each Bretonnia’s Legendary Lord.

As your Lords progresses through the campaign and levels up, they will unlock unique traits that are aligned with their lore and personality, offering significant buffs that enhance specific units within their army. This encourages players to build armies that are more reflective of the Lord’s character, leading to a more immersive and varied strategic experience.

On top of that, they will also receive traits that will enhance the province or region they are in, boosting things like income, happiness and much more.

- Unique Army Traits at Levels 10, 20, and 30: Each Bretonnian Legendary Lord gains special traits that enhance their role and the units in their army, encouraging the creation of diverse and lore-friendly armies.

- Unique Province Traits at Levels 15, 30: Each Legendary Lord will receive certain province bonuses that will benefit loreful gameplay (Alberic will provide bonuses to ports, Louen will reduce corruption and the Fay Enchantress will provide extra growth)

- AI Integration: The effects apply to both player and AI factions, ensuring a consistent and immersive experience whether you’re playing against the AI or incorporating confederated Lords into your campaign.

- New custom abilities that enhance some special troops (with their respective custom icons).

We recommend starting a new campaign if your Legendary Lord is already at maxed level, as they will only get the new traits when they level up.

We are a small team called The Immersive Team that love the game and its possibilities. Our objective is to cover all the factions and improve the mods with extra features such as:

- Enhance more Factions
- Add bonuses to Legendary Heroes
- Support MCM
- Add unique quests with Dilemmas (such as Balthasar Gelt ones)
- And much more!

We are doing all of this in our free time and we would love to keep improving the core gameplay with more features and tweaks, but some of us do not even have all the DLCs and as we are working full time we barely have any time to complete it.

@sniper
Feel free to volunteer your time and do up art, instead of uselessly whining.

@sniper, it's not like anyone is getting paid by modders for art, but to be honest most of the AI art I've seen in the workshop looks terrible

this mod sounds like a great idea for generic lords that make it to 30 as well. maybe not quite as strong buffs but still something to make generic lords stand out. maybe combine it with the regiments of reknown mod that gives ROR buffs to units based on how they perform in combat

Thank you all for the feedback!

We will try to improve the quality of the images, effects and efficiency for the next stop (Cathay) and so on.

Special thanks to @Murranji for helping us proactively, kudos!

As time goes on, how about creating quests to protect "shrines" or the tombs of dead knights from Mousillon? If something like that could be implemented, that would be amazing.

Anyway, best of luck with this! Hoping you continue progressing this mod to its fullest potential!!
