M4A3-105 Sherman

History

since the M4A3 platform was the most produced it also had quite a few offshoot variants with different armaments and armour models.
This is likely the most known one. The M4A3-105, besides the now howitzer, received a couple of upgrades. That includes a better transmission, slightly upgraded engine, and a new exhaust system.
The Howitzer itself was determined to be the best weapon for a demolition and infantry support tank.

The Version displayed the the M4A3-105 that managed to fight the remaining japanese forces in Alaska.

the M4A3-105 conducted itself well besides low production numbers and its appearance was greatly appreciated by any allied troops. Its gun gave it the ability to eviscerate any japanese bunker positions, emplaced guns and infantry dug-in´s. The enemy armour capability was also impressive, however diminished greatly against the larger tanks.
The drawback was its certain lack of armour protection in the time it served, meaning that any form of Anti tank weapon had the ability to cleanly punch through the armour, even frontally.
The crews tended to uparmour the vehicles with wiremesh, wood plates, track armour and carried as much provisions and extra weapons/ ammo with them into battle as possible.
