15 September 1943. The Allies successfully launched Operation Avalanche, the invasion of Italy, on the 3rd of September. Now, nearly two weeks later, elements of the Hermann Göering Fallshirmjaeger Panzer Division launch a surprise attack against the British lines, hoping to strike a decisive blow while the invaders are still weak and consolidating their forces.

British troops must man their positions and prevent the Germans from pushing them back. While the Germans have localized advantages in tanks and aircraft, the British come to the fight with more artillery.
