The Joyeuse system is an S-Type binary. The two stars – Karl and Gallas – formed from the same proto-stellar cloud. Both stars have their own solar systems.

The Joyeuse system sits on the Gram Arm, an important Jump-1 trade route.

The Joyeuse system is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

The Joyeuse system has a Class B Starport that provides refined fuel processed from the planet Joyeuse’s oceans. A Sword Worlds naval base is also present in the system.

Joyeuse relies on off-world traders to bring in goods to maintain TL-10.

The planet Joyeuse was first surveyed by the Darrians sometime in the -1000s. It was colonised sometime in the -300s by settlers from the Old Earth Union.

The planet Joyeuse has a Balkanized Government. The population of 40,000,000 mostly human sophonts are in the middle of a civil war. The civil war started in 1098 when a particularly widespread outbreak of blight crippled the economy, causing the previous Government to collapse.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
