That's right baby, this track has backstory.

An Oil Baron in Egypt decided, being the prick that he was, that he wanted to buy the great Pyramids. He spent billions on this purchase and ignored all of the protests against it. In order to 'piss off the hippies', the Baron decided he was going to desecrate these wonders in the most awesome way possible; by building an awesome race track through it for him and his friends. Shortly after its creation, the Baron was assassinated by a member of the Gardeners Questiontime panelist (Google it) and, with no one keeping maintenance over the track it fell into disrepair. No one drove on the now sandswept tarmac for over 15 years, until you arrived!

The road is now bumpy, entirely gone in some places and very difficult to manage without practice.
