HISTORY
The F-117 was developed by Lockheed Martin's Skunkworks in complete secrecy for the United States Airforce. the F-117 was the first ever stealth aircraft developed and appeared nearly completely invisible on radar. The F-117 would see combat in the American invasion of Panama, Yugoslavia, Desert Storm, and Afghanistan. One was shot down over Yugoslavia due to a lucky SAM operator who activated their radar the moment the aircrafts bomb bay door was open allowing the SAM to achieve a radar lock. The F-117 would begin to be phased out in 2007 likely due to the development of the F-22, F-35, and B-2 stealth aircraft filling its role.
