Information for Travellers

The Tyrfing system contains six rocky worlds and one gas giant.

The Tyrfing system sits on the Gram Arm, an important Jump-1 trade route.

Tyrfing is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

The Tyrfing system has a Class B Starport that provides refined fuel processed from the planet Tyrfing’s oceans. A Sword Worlds naval base and military base is also present in the system.

Tyrfing relies on off-world traders to bring in goods to maintain TL-10.

The planet Tyrfing is a meso world with a Very thin atmosphere - most sophonts will require a respirator or oxygen mask to breathe - and a large amount of surface water.

The planet Tyrfing is tidally locked to the star Angantyr. The entire population lives in the narrow twilight zone that circles the planet.

The planet Tyrfing was first surveyed by the Darrians sometime in the -1000s. It was colonised sometime in the -300s by settlers from the Old Earth Union.

The planet Tyrfing is ruled by a Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. The population of 70,000,000 mostly human sophonts are eextremely conservative, practicing a focused form of Aesirism that concentrates on Freya as the god of fertility and crops.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
