The Beater system contains nine rocky worlds and one asteroid belt.

The Beater system sits on the junction of three important trade routes: the Gram Arm, the Sacnoth Arm, and the Trailing Worlds Corridor.

Beater is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

The Beater system has a Class B Starport that provides refined fuel processed from the planet Beater’s oceans. A Sword Worlds naval base and military base is also present in the system.

Beater relies on off-world traders to bring in goods to maintain TL-10.

The planet Beater is an Agricultural, Non-industrial, Garden, Rich meso world with a Dense atmosphere and a moderate amount of surface water.

The planet Beater has a unique biome. Plants evolved to take the roles filled by animals in other biomes while still being capable of photosynthesising.

The planet Beater was first surveyed by the Darrians sometime in the -1000s. It was colonised sometime in the -300s by settlers from the Old Earth Union.

The planet Beater is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The population of 6,000,000 live in a number of small, scattered farming communities. This frontier farmer lifestyle is seen as desirable by most Sword Worlders, but Beater is not welcoming of immigrants.
