Invisible Depots

Description
Invisible Road and Tram Depots. Decorate to your heart's content. This includes an invisible road so there aren't dependencies. It has a base texture that is paintable while holding Shift. The invisible road can have tram tracks and catenary. I thought it looked weird when the trams came out of the depot with no tracks to the road.
Recommend that you place the depot and set a vehicle to a line while paused so that you can see the spawn point of the vehicle before placing assets.

Works ok now thanks! I have icons off and bulldoze by direct click. Now that the entrance road is bulldozable, clicking that deletes the depot. I think the tram depot worked before because the tram tracks/catenary gave something to click on

Thanks for information on making the roads bulldozable. I have updated that. I couldn't find anything wrong with the road depot. On my saves I can bulldoze it. I have to click on the icon and zoom out enough to do so. Do you get an error message on the console, or can you not select it at all?

Feel free to take the streetconfig, mtl, texture etc from Invisible Roads if you want, just change the file names for compatibility. I agree with RadiKyle about hiding the road from the buy menu but it might solve the depot bulldozing issue too

I couldn't click the upgrade tool on it either tho.
You could hide the road from the menu so it can't be used. Still can't bulldoze the road depot tho, not sure why.

I just used the upgrade tool to change the road so that I could delete it. I only include an invisible road so that it wouldn't have dependencies. I thought there were better road mods for making invisible roads, but had to include a road for the depot. I didn't intend for it to be used in general. I can try a transparent texture on the road. I had trouble getting it to work to begin with. The depot buildings are from Tpf.net . Sabon is the creator.

You can fix the bulldozer/upgrade tool issue by adding a transparent surface texture to the road, that's how I did it for Invisible Roads. The tool needs a texture of some kind so it can find the road.

Great idea! :steamthumbsup: I can't bulldoze the invisible street or road depot tho (only the tram depot). The Invisible Roads mod works tho ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3049984980 ) so maybe the code from that would help?

Also which mod bldgs are those bus/tram depots? Thanks!

Can we make and use something that cannot be seen? Is it possible to create something that cannot be seen in the first place?
Don't ask such questions like that. It works. The reason is a secret.The problem is that you can't subscribe to it because it's invisible. Even if you search for "Invisible Road and Tram Depots" you won't get any results.
