Information for Travellers

The Dyrnwyn system contains five rocky worlds and one gas giant.

The Dyrnwyn system is a P-Type Binary. All the planets orbit both stars.

The Dyrnwyn system sits on the Trailing Worlds Corridor, an important Jump-1 trade route.

Dyrnwyn is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

The Dyrnwyn system has a Class B Starport that provides refined fuel processed from the planet Dyrnwyn’s oceans. A Sword Worlds naval base and military base is also present in the system.

Dyrnwyn relies on off-world traders to bring in goods to maintain TL-10.

The planet Dyrnwyn is a tidally locked, large world with a Thin atmosphere and a world ocean of surface water.

The planet Dyrnwyn is tidally locked to the barycentre of the two stars Rhydderch and Gwydion. The entire population lives in the eyeball of thawed ocean that faces the two stars.

According to known science the planet Dyrnwyn should not be tidally locked. Scientists hypothesize that some event in the past stopped the planet’s rotation, but the exact mechanism remains unknown.

The planet Dyrnwyn was first surveyed by the Darrians sometime in the -1000s. It was colonised sometime in the -300s by settlers from the Old Earth Union.

The planet Dyrnwyn is a Corporate Polity. The Fortarn Conglomerate (FC) owns and operates Dyrnwyn as a commercial asset. The population of 200,000,000 live in floating cities and work for FC.

There are a number of community organizations whose volunteers provide social services that FC deems unprofitable.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
