The Durendal system contains five rocky worlds, one asteroid belt, and four gas giants.

The Durendal system sits on the Trailing Worlds Corridor, an important Jump-1 trade route.

Durendal is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

The Durendal system has a Class B Starport that provides refined fuel processed from the planet Durendal’s oceans. A Sword Worlds naval base and military base is also present in the system.

Durendal relies on off-world traders to bring in goods to maintain TL-11.

The planet Durendal is a tidally locked, Agricultural, Garden, Rich meso world with a Dense atmosphere and a large amount of surface water.

The planet Durendal is tidally locked to the star Roland. The entire population lives on the sun facing side of the planet. The Dense atmosphere and large amount of water move heat to the dark side of the planet which remains unfrozen.

It appears that roughly 300,000 years ago an unknown ancient civilization tried to restore rotation to the planet. A dense gridwork of an unknown material has been detected deep with the planet’s crust. Whether the attempt failed or was abandoned remains unknown.

The planet Durendal was first surveyed by the Darrians sometime in the -1000s. It was colonised sometime in the -300s by settlers from the Old Earth Union.

The planet Durendal is governed by a Self-perpetuating Oligarchy. A Monarchy rules via a system of Jarls who in turn rule over a population of 70,000,000 Carls. The Carls are Yeoman farmers and their Thralls.

The planet Durendal has exceptionally rich soil. Combined with permanent sunshine it produces an abundance of agricultural products that are exported across the Sword Worlds and beyond.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
