Information for Travellers

The Anduril system contains eleven rocky worlds, two asteroid belts, and two gas giants.

The Anduril system sits on the Sacnoth Arm, an important Jump-1 trade route.

Anduril is a member of the Sword Worlds Confederation.

The Anduril system has a Class B Starport that provides refined fuel processed from the planet Anduril’s oceans. A Sword Worlds naval base and military base is also present in the system.

Anduril has enough native industry to maintain TL-11.

The planet Anduril is a large, Rich world with a Dense atmosphere and a moderate amount of surface water.

The planet Anduril has higher than normal gravity. Starships with M Drive-1 should avoid landing on its surface.

The planet Anduril was first surveyed by the Darrians sometime in the -1000s. It was colonised in -374 by settlers from the Old Earth Union. Anduril colonised the neighbouring Narsil system in -204.

In -187 Anduril became part of the Sacnoth Dominate. At the end of the War of the First Rebellion of -102 Anduril regained its independence.

Anduril was also part of a union with Narsil from 44 to 604 in a period referred to as the Double Monarchy.

The planet Anduril is a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

The planet Anduril’s large axial tilt and dense atmosphere creates strong winds that constantly blow at speeds up to 150kmph. The population of 200,000,000 lives in underground cities or in smaller settlements that sit behind protective revetments. The Downport is surrounded by massive wind barriers to allow starships to avoid the worst of the winds.
