Radiant Haircut Mods Fix

Description

A mod that repair haircut textures for vanilla content and the 4 most popular haircut mods (described in credits just below). Those additional modded haircuts will now be compatible with a maximum of heads. You must at least have one of these mods to make this patch works. Having all of them will provide in my opinion the best experience.

If you're really fond of customizing your characters, you might have encounter at some point weird hair texture incompatibilities with other assets (see the mod screenshot). The reason is that usually mod creators don't loose too much time by creating one haircut for each skull type or making multi-layer textures for haircuts and I completely understand that since it can be very time consuming. But their hair additions to the base game were very neat and I couldn't let it be, so... Here you go, I fixed all of these for them!

So those problematic textures have been all reworked and carefully repaired, making them of course even more compatible with possible other/future head mods. Numerous haricut have been carefully enhanced and cleaned with a less sloppy design and less sketchy brush, I noticed this was more agreable to diminish the "brush dirt" on hairs.

Here are the covered mods. We have to thanks those guys for their work!

You can find all my mods by searching "Radiant" in steam workshop, nexus, or civfanatics, which is a recurrent word in all my mod's tittles.

Even if they represent hundreds of working hours, I'm sharing my mods for free like most of mod creators. But deep down I'm really hoping you to do that little extra thing that would help me a lot : joining any of my pages (patreon, facebook, instagram). Just that really! Don't feel obliged to give something, with Patreon there is indeed a free option that grants you basic news/content and it will only take few seconds of your time. That being said I'm an artist irl and I sometimes struggle to put my personal projects on the saddle. By giving a little something or joining my ranks you can trigger a course of actions/reactions that might end up gathering more people around, thus helping me building the motivation and means to create more stuff to appreciate.

The issue with the hair layers is because the 'peopleParts' folder isn't capitalised correctly. Its called 'peopleparts' in this mod.

If you change it to 'peopleParts' the mod works perfectly.

Love your work!

After testing on windows, can confirm that the issue with the hair layers is exclusive to the Linux version of the game, and does not appear on windows.

As mentioned by SwayingMarrow this mod has a tendency to not render the parts of the hair that been split from the original files. For example the hair FMossFiona does not render FMossFiona_behind even though the .json file indicates that it should.

I have tried to fix this issue manually myself by editing the depth settings and group settings in the .json file, and it has not worked. This mod does not have this same effect on vanilla hairstyles that have been edited such as hairFB10 even though they are also multipart hairs.

The only mods I have loaded are this and Moss' hair emporium. I am on Linux, but can test on Windows if needed.

Just giving as much info as possible, so hopefully this is fixed.

Hi, tried your mod and I love it! Only issue I could find was that one hairstyle from Freaky's Feminine Hairdos has one side strand of hair missing (right side from player perspective, the hairstyle with part of the hair tied up in the back); it's there on the icon, but when selected, it's not on the character. It's not a big deal or anything, just thought I'd mention it. Everything else looks great though, and thanks for the great mods!
