Axl is a zoner who relies on his long ranged normals; some of which can be angled, allowing him to control space from various angles.

Neutral Special is another long ranged attack that when grounded has multiple parts by pressing Attack or Special again.

Side Special can cancel on hit into any of his grounded long ranged normals, even in the air.

Down Special is long ranged anti air that on hit gives axl the ability to freeze the foe in time by using it again.
