USRA Light Santa Fe 2-10-2

Description
As always thank you to Lskeetskeet for the excellent screenshots!

Xmas Early!

Hello folks, and welcome back to the USRA era! Today we have a heavy hauler! The 2-10-2 Light Santa Fe!

READ THIS PLEASE!!!!
As a heads up folks, you will find this locomotive in your buy menu under "multiple unit" under the steam category. The reason you see it under the multiple unit category is the Random numbers mod. In order for it to work the locomotive must have a cargo space. That cargo is 1 passenger. So no, you are not crazy if you see this on your freight trains. This is the workaround for getting the random numbers to work. Honestly well worth it! Normally I'd say you must have a dependent mod active for the random numbers to work, but Meatballhero has allowed me to include the files! No dependents necessary for this one! Also you may want to set a max timer for your trains you want to sit and wait for full at stations.

Slight history

During the first world war the federal government enacted the USRA as an experiment to nationalize the railroads during a wartime emergency. This lasted from December of 1917 to March of 1920. They introduced standardized locomotive and rail car classes known as the USRA Standard.
Changes occurred quickly as once President Wilson issued the order for nationalization. All the railroads were organized into 3 divisions, East, West, and South. A reduction in passenger service occurred to help with decongestion of freight. The current number of locomotives and rolling stock was augmented by new production of up-to-date and standardized types/designed to be the best that could be produced to replace outdated equipment.

These locomotives are great in drag service

Gifts?

- 2 Versions of the Santa Fe - with and without class lights.
- MC Couplers
- Excellent sounds by Mrcheesecake as always!
- The Light Santa's will be in the 11## range
- 2 Asset versions

Stats-

Availability- 1918
Speed - 50 MPH
Horsepower- 3,447
Tractive Effort - 69,900 LBF
Weight- 540,309 Lbs

Before you ask about the speed... Yes, normally this locomotives hover in the speed of 30-35mph. In order to balance between other locos & for your networks not to get jammed up I made them for 50 mph. Always subject to change though.

Whats next

Finally out of the shop. This has been sitting for a while waiting for me to finish other mods. So coming next will be the heavy pacific as it also has been sitting in the shop. Getting tired of it sitting there. So it's going into texturing next week. Should be out pretty soon. So.. whats beyond that? Heavy Santa Fe & FEC Class 801 I have started mesh building.. and then the B&O P5, P7, and Southern PS-4... at some point.

The USRA locomotives are also ones in which if you simply google USRA and the type of locomotive you get so many hits on model locomotives. So if you are wanting to reskin these into your own road you can ask me on the TPF American Modding discord for the PSD's and create a dependent mod if you wish for the community.

HEADS UP-

From this point, please understand that my mods are rather heavy in poly count. Sorry I enjoy the detail. I put a lot of effort into these, to make them as best I can to be enjoyed. Sorry if you don't have enough disk space or computer power to run these. The models have LOD's on them to help reduce poly count as you zoom out.

Also in regards to screen shots. About 95% of the time friends take the screenshots for me. So any questions regarding them is best directed toward them at the discord below.

skipped a lot of work today. Because I took a quick look at this. Then the Dow Jones Industrial Average hit an all-time high. Then it occurred to me that maybe I would be suited to a job where my job is to skip work.A job where I skip work, and get paid.It sounds good to me.Why am I telling this?Just like the story behind this train's creation, I hope the US government gives me a job to slack off at work. Please rest assured. I understand that I am saying things that don't make sense.
What's for sure is that the mods and photos are awesome, and I hope the creator enjoys these silly comments.
