Description
About "Nova Monumenta Iaponiae Historica (NMIH)"

Concept
This Mod is a total conversion CK2 Mod about the medieval Japan. This mod contains following main features.

  • The Genpei Scenarios (1180) and the Muromachi/Sengoku era between 1467 (The Onin War) and 1589 (Hideyoshi's Hojo Campaign).
  • Historically accurate family trees of Japanese clans
  • Map between Kamchatka and Ryukyu. Each regions are based on the historical provinces. Similar to the map of Paradox`s old Sengoku game, but more historically accurate.
  • Historical Japanese settlements such as castles, cities and manors. The starting and max. number of baronies in each province is based on surveys in the 16th and 19th centuries.
  • Historical trade routes
  • Original graphics such as Unit 3D models and portraits
  • Historical buddhist reformators such as Ikko Shu and Hokke Shu
  • Many unique historical and cultural events including arquebuses, Christian missionaries and Western trades.
  • Tsuji, which is an unique naming system in Japan.
Attention
  • The current version is 1.021. Compatible with patch 3.3.
  • For loading problems, please delete the NMIH mod folder and NMIH.mod and download again. If you have still problems, check the manual download via this tweet.
  • We highly recommend to use Raja of India DLC for enjoying this mod. However, you can play Ainu and Christian characters without that DLC.
Announcement
Considering huge amount of works, we really want to see more team members for this mod. Here is the list about what you could help.
  • (re)write events: not only coding the script, but also localizing the vanilla texts for Japanese culture.
  • fix vanilla mechanics or code new ones: we could have unique systems in this mod, in order to represent Japanese society better.
  • draw graphics: there are still many materials which could have better visuals.
  • research history: Many historical characters are waiting for joining in this mod...
Please note that this mod is still in developping. Be patient and give us support!(early thumbs up would be highly appreciated though^^)Use bug report and suggestion thread wisely! It is better to use these topic threads than the simple comment, since I could miss some of your important messages!See also

Is there a guide here about differences in mechanics between this and vanilla? For example, sometimes I have access to the conquest CB and sometimes I don't, and I have seen the AI use Holy War and yet I cannot holy war myself.

Man, absolutely amazing. Huge thanks to the dev for not abandoning this mod - it's very fun to play and I'm sure will only improve in the future.

Added new bookmarks spanning 1183–1247, including The Council of Thirteen (1199) and The Jōkyū War (1221)

Added a bookmark for The Establishment of the Ashikaga Regime (1337)
