Description
Play as the second King of Rome, Numa; in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

The death of Romulus and Remus left the fate of Rome and all Latins to fate. It is said that Rome's second monarch, the Sabine ascetic known as Numa Pompilius, was chosen by the heavens to lead the Romans. Legend tells that Numa established much of Rome's institutions. Much of the Roman priesthood may have originated from Numa, should he have ever existed.

Remember that to support a modder the first thing to do is like or dislike: it's free, it's quick, and it pumps the star rating.

STRUDELER'S LEADERS: NUMA (ROME)
  • Part of: Pax Romana Aeternum Expansion.
  • Requires: Gathering Storm.
  • Is multiplayer compatible.

    LEADER: NUMA
  • Trait - Office of Pontifex Maximus: Cannot declare surprise wars or war upon city-states. +20% Production towards Holy Sites and their buildings when at peace. +20% Production towards Encampments and their buildings when at war. Gain the Vestal Virgin unique unit.
  • Agenda - Equal in Wit to Jupiter: Likes civilizations that have high Faith and are at peace. Indifferent to civilizations that have low Faith and are at war.

    LEADER UNIT: VESTAL VIRGIN
  • Numa's unique Religious class unit that replaces the Inquisitor. +5 Religious Strength when within 2 tiles of an Encampment or Holy Site. Cities gain +1 Amenity and Housing for every Vestal Virgin within 2 tiles, up to +3.

    *Model was made possible through 'The Fallen Eagle' mod for Crusader Kings III.

If I can think of an alternative offensive Inquisitor for another civ, I will probably relegate the Vestal Virgin to the Inquisitor's original role as vigilante, @Knoblauch_. I rarely see religious uniques so I wanted to make something aggressive and distinct. Its identity - aggression or defence - may seem confused, that is so that Numa can stay unique/competitive.

Took me a minute to realize that the Vestal Virgins can be used to offensively convert, but when I did it was game over. Simply being able to use an inquisitor in foreign lands is incredibly strong due to its ability to remove other religions. Easiest religious victory Ive had yet. If you want to balance this mod a bit, I would suggest nerfing the Vestal Virgins conversion ability and buffing its domestic strengths. The Amenity/Housing stuff is cool, but I always found it better to send them abroad to spread my religion rather than gain a minor benefit in keeping them at home. I probably could have brought them back when they only had one charge yet, but honestly the tempo I was getting from just spamming them all over the world seemed more than good enough.
