Description
The Slop Man Cometh. Mutant, the creature of Your Only Move Is Hustle, is here to juke out the opposition with lighting speed and tricky movement.

Mutant's kit has multiple mechanics inspired directly from their game of origin. Those familiar with how they work in YOMI will find his tools function similarly here!

-POWERFUL PASSIVES-

DASH
Mutant walks and runs close to the ground, potentially avoiding some attacks.

INITIATIVE
Whenever Mutant lands a normal attack against an opponent or their shield, they can cancel their endlag into other moves by holding a direction and pressing Attack for jab/tilts/aerials, or Shield for strongs/ultra. The timing for this varies from move to move- As well as what you can cancel into. You'll know if you've successfully taken Initiative if you hear a ringing sound. Be sure to practice these to make the most out of your openings. You can even cancel into taunt if you want to show off!

JUKE
Rather than a regular airdodge, Mutant will use their signature Juke, an airdash that can be used to reposition on a dime at the cost of less than average iframes. When Juking forwards, Mutant will go much further than expected. When Juking in place, Mutant will pause its momentum for a brief moment before continuing their trajectory. Both Neutral and Forward Jukes can be canceled into attacks after their iframes are gone.

-SIGNATURE SPECIALS-

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: ACID SLASH
Mutant slashes at the opponent with acid-imbued claws. Tapping the button will have Mutant jump if grounded, and perform a Vertical Acid Slash that bypasses shields and spikes. Holding the button will have Mutant attack around themself with a Horizontal Acid Slash, launching opponents away from either side.

SIDE SPECIAL: SHOCKWAVE/CORKSCREW
On the ground, Mutant will launch a powerful wave of energy that travels across the stage until it reaches a ledge. The melee hitbox combos into the shockwave when it's available! Only one can be out at a time, and it has a 2 second cooldown before being able to be used again after it despawns.

In the air, Mutant will spin wildly forwards like a drill. This multihit can be angled up or down, and has a sweet spot that drags opponents, but can only be used once per airtime.

UP SPECIAL: LEAP SLASH
A rising claw slash that goes far and has great range for harassing platforms. Tapping the button lunges Mutant forwards- Holding the button shoots them more upwards. Use whichever angle suits your recovery best!

DOWN SPECIAL: ENVENOM/POUNCE
On the ground, Mutant will shoot forwards with a low-profiling hurtbox before performing a command grab. Landing this move is tricky, but if you do, you'll poison the enemy, dealing damage over time over the course of 10 seconds or until Mutant takes damage.

In the air, Mutant leaps back before Pouncing at the enemy. This move has a forwards, down-forwards, and downwards angle. This attack has extremely strong knockback and is very fast, but beware! The angled and forwards versions will put Mutant in knockdown if they whiff, wallsplat if they hit a wall, and when used away from the stage, you can kiss your stock goodbye. High risk for high reward!

-NOTABLE NORMALS-

UP AIR: VAULT
Mutant will bounce off of opponents underneath them. They'll also bounce off of and reflect projectiles, too!

UP STRONG: CAUSTIC BARRAGE
Charging this move causes Mutant to throw more Caustic Thorns, depending on how long it's held. Canceling into this move using Initiative instantly throws all of them!

DASH ATTACK: DASH ATTACK
A great finisher and launcher. You can use Initiative after the first hit's set knockback to cancel into aerials or your Ultra before the final kick.

DOWN THROW: CAUSTIC SPIKE
Mutant throws the opponent onto the ground for a tech situation before throwing out a high damage, high knockback Caustic Spike to pressure their wakeup.

LEDGE ATTACK: SNEAK ATTACK
A cross-up from the ledge that can be canceled out of using Initiative.

GETUP ATTACK: BURST
The de-facto 'get off me' tool from YOMI Hustle. Extremely fast, but does no damage and has zero knockback. Back to neutral you go!

ULTRA: REBIRTH
Mutant charges up a huge explosion that deals great knockback. Mutant's momentum is preserved through this move, so make sure you're going fast before letting it rip! It also restores all of Mutant's air options for emergency recovery situations, and restores 10% of Mutant's health for every opponent hit with it.
