EDIT! Switch between persistent and regular throttle.

My version of the SU-100 Soviet WW2 tank destroyer. This is, in some areas like the gun mount and glacis, VERY much an approximation due to limitations of the game and some interesting hit boxes on some pieces. I first tried to use a gun that was mounted through a hole in the front wall but I got frustrated by how the pieces in the game interact. so I went with an externally mounted gun and a moving, working mock-up of the gun breach inside the tank for those that like to RP. The other version that I finsihed after this one is IMO better and more realistic looking and the one I would recommend using TBH.

The SU-100 (Samokhodnaya Ustanovka 100) was armed with the D-10S 100 mm anti-tank gun in a casemate superstructure. It was used extensively during the last year of World War II and saw service for many years afterwards with the armies of Soviet allies around the world.

The SU-85 was developed from the chassis of the T-34 tank replacing the turret with a larger, fixed superstructure that allowed a larger gun to be fitted, the 85 mm D-5 gun, providing dramatically upgraded firepower compared to the T-34's 76.2 mm models. Introduced to service in 1943, the SU-85 was quickly rendered obsolete as a new tank design featured the same gun on the T-34-85. This prompted the design of a more advanced turretless tank destroyer with an even more powerful cannon. The work started in February 1944 and the first prototype of the SU-100, "Object 138", was delivered in March. After intensive testing with different models of 100 mm gun Soviet engineers approved the D-10S gun for mass production.

The SU-100 was introduced in October 1944 and quickly became popular with Soviet tank crews as its gun could penetrate virtually any German tank then in service until being outmatched by the Tiger II. The SU-100 especially saw extensive service during the last year of the war.

Left/Right arrows: Turn driver's persicope.
Alt + Up/Down/Left/Right arrows or Mouse: Aim gun. -10 / +10 degrees traverse, and -5 / +20 degrees elevation. Reload time is about 8 seconds.
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire gun. 8 stacked AP and 8 stacked HE guns.
B / Beacon: Switch bewteen AP and HE rounds. Indicator by the driver's seat shows which type is selected.
L / Headlights: Light.
K / Hazard Lights: Switch between persistent throttle and regular throttle. *
Camera 1: Driver's periscope.
Camera 2: Gun sight.

Commander's seat (rear right)
Left/Right arrows: Turn commander's periscope.
Camera 1: Commander's cupola. **
Camera 2: Commander's periscope.

Hatches and view port are all opened with buttons.

* IMPORTANT! When switching, make sure the engine is as close to idle (1,000 rpm) as possible to avoid issues.

** Sadly the commander won't fit in the sponson, the little "turret" on the right hand side, since both Bob and the seats are way to chunky, so I added only one camera in the commander's cupola to somewhat simulate his view but he also has the periscope that gives a full 360 view anyway.

I am aware the gun on this thing is a bit wobbly while driving, but even with 12(!) stacked tungsten actuators this is how weak and rubberbandy and floppy and frankly totally sh*te the actuators are in the game. FIX THEM FFS!!!!

Yeah I might build the SU-76M at some point. It was after all the second most produced Soviet AFV during WW2. I'm probably taking a bit of a break from building though so no promises as to when I'll build it.

I usually don't build vehicles that were ever only prototypes, but who knows maybe someday. It most likely won't be in the near future though.

this might be a bit too much to ask but can you do the SU-100Y? (130mm naval gun on a T100 chassis)

Yeah the gun is what it is but it's the least bad way I could make work properly..
