Description
Another day another load of scrap to breakdown.

News keeps talking SLA increasing troop movements but thats nothing new, we all just ignore it anyway.

Adrian keeps telling me he's going to take me to the mainland for some beers, that was weeks ago but we have been busy so we'll see.

    This is my first attempt at something like this but please be honest with feedback.

    Saying "Didn't enjoy" doesn't help me or you.

    Also READ the objectives in the map screen they contain clues as to what you'll need to do.

Ay thanks. Yeah it is short but this was mostly just a proof of concept more than anything substantial. Glad you enjoyed it

Just tried it! I Like the ambiance and lighting. Also found the easter egg in the garage. First playthrough I just walked up to those two guys and got destroyed xD.... the second time I followed the tasks. I got through them, but I think i triggered some of them in the wrong order. The search church and Adrians place appeared after I got the gun and headed to the bridge (ˉ﹃ˉ)

Yeah that's a fair point. Starting off with no direction then piecing it together as you go along wasn't the best idea in retrospect.

I did think about cutscenes but in the end decided against it over just building tension in the environment and letting the story tell itself.

The next part is already being worked on but will be a big tonal shift from this but should hopefully still be entertaining.

cutscene will work but not necessarily, just a briefing/task description that better points the player as to wut they are supposed to do fluidly

thrilling mission, excellent use of environment, lights, music...really felt like a horror op for a minute....enjoyed

My first thought was "Can't see shit". I thought the flickering light effect was a bit overdone, but it was quite cool when I got into a firefight with the first 2 guys. The run task wasn't particularly clear. Run to where? or fight with what? Once I found the stuff, things got easier. I missed not being able to loot the bodies. Whilst things seemed to follow each other at the start, some of the tasks didn't pop up till later. One said I now had a map, but I didn't. The waypoint at the bridge didn't provide any further direction or tasks. It was also a bit annoying having to go back into the tasks to pick up the snippets of information that give clues as to what the player has to do. I think I did what I had to in the end as mission completed. It took me 30 mins to complete with all the backtracking and going round in circles not knowing what to do. The questions I have is who were these people just going around murdering civilians without question and what were they looking for?
