Description
Overview
For a regular player, this mod implements a lot of small changes to UI and QoL. They won't change your gameplay, but they may be helpful.

For a mod developer, this mod offers components that allow the creation of completely new buildings with unique logic!

For the players
Check out the image slideshow above to get a picture of what the mod provides. But long story short, you get:
  • UI. Expressing time durations as "days/hours." For a human, the duration of "2d 4h" is clearer than "52 hours," isn't it?
  • UI. Increased precision in displaying small durations. Did you know Birch doesn't need a full 9 days to grow? It actually grows in "8d 12h," or 8.5 days.
  • UI. The sluice will tell you what water flow is going through it. This may help in planning your infrastructure.
  • UI. If workers can get hurt in a building, the probability of injury will be displayed on the right panel. It can appear as an indicator with a tooltip or as regular text in the building details. This is configurable through the settings.
  • QoL. You can now adjust the water level at fluid dump buildings, like Mechanical Pump or Fluid Dump. Not only can you change the "0.9 m" default, but you can also now place a fluid dump building at any level above the surface and set it up so that it doesn't flood the output!
  • Feature If you install a mod that uses `TimberCommons`, like Water Extension, you will get a set of irrigation tower buildings!

For the mod makers
You can use the components that `TimberCommons` offers to create your own buildings. Consider these:
  • `GoodConsumingIrrigationTower` – a simple tower that consumes one resource (usually water).
  • `ManufactoryIrrigationTower` – a tower that can use the power of the manufactory recipes! You can use multiple ingredients and also define "effects" which would be applied to the growables based on the selected recipe.
See more details on the provided components in Wiki: https://github.com/ihsoft/TimberbornMods/wiki/Timber-Commons.

Before reporting that the mod does not work or crashes!!!
Depending on which branch you're playing, read one of the two discussion threads below. There may be an explanation for your case already. If not, create a new discussion thread with the error reported. Or attach your report to any existing thread with the errors.

This mod doesn't work with
If anything of these is installed in the game, the mod will crash.
  • Mod: Enhanced Good UI. This mod is made so that it breaks other mods that use Harmony.
  • Modloader: Bepinex. This loader usually sits in the game folder if you used mods in the pre-update6 versions of Timberborn. You need to manually cleanup the game folder (just delete it completely and download again).

Thanks for replying. I do not need that mod anymore, it was lagging my game and the crash, so I decided to remove it, I can just make irrigation blocks manually :) just in case someone else has the same issue, I was loading the save during a weather change, one of the irrigation towers was flooded at the moment I loaded, probably that caused the issue (calculating soil dirt, etc, I guess). Thanks again <3

@Panchito Mágico "Tower Irrigation mod" works together with TimberCommons, so you filed the complaint in the right place. If you don't need irrigation towers, then disabling "Tower Irrigation mod" looks like a solution. But if you need the towers, we need to figure out why the mod fails.

It's okay... The problem was Tower Irrigation mod, I disabled it and everything is working great. Sorry for posting here. <3

@Panchito Mágico I created a tracking bug: https://github.com/ihsoft/TimberbornMods/issues/117 . feel free to add details there. I may suggest, the troublemaker is the moddable recipes mod. Could you please try running the game without it?

@henrique.wilker It works just fine for me. Please, share the error and the save file in the discussions section.

Hello, the mod is not working after the last small update.

Knatte was saying that a suggestion I posted on Water Extention Irrigation Towers, is something that needs to be done here instead.

One being a hook for his towers to automatically stop irrigating (not pause, but stop draining water), during Moddable Weather Rain since all of the map is irrigated during rain.

The other being an option for irrigation towers to have a depth slider like Pumps, so that they can irrigate downward too.

@Munkey Steam doesn't have versioning for the workshop items. The mod release technically can have multiple versions in the package, but keeping many versions forever is not a good idea. Specifically this mod only keeps two versions: one for the main (stable) branch, and one for the experimental branch. As of today, both are at Update 7.

Update 6 is now officially archived. If you still want to play on it with this mod, I'd suggest you going to Mod.IO and downloading the right version. This system is well suited for managing old game versions. And, of course, you need to disable the workshop, since it will keep updating to the latest versions.
