Yet Another Resprite Mod - Items

Description

Yet Another Resprite Mod is a texture replacement mod for The Binding of Isaac Repentance that aims to be as comprehensive as possible, swapping textures to fit my preferred aesthetic for Binding of Isaac. I'd like to recreate the presentation achieved by Edmund McMillen as seen in the original Binding of Isaac, while compromising for the pixel art style of Rebirth and the keeping the quality of Repentance's redone sprites. There might be little nods and references to Isaac imagery of yore and McMillen's creative past; see what you can find. I hope the effort I spent was worth it!

This mod is only a portion of Yet Another Resprite Mod, covering the items you see in game, including collectibles, pickups, machines, beggars; the works. It aims to replace the graphics (gfx) in the following folders in both resources and resources-dlc3 (from the game's extracted resources):
  • items/collectibles
  • items/pick ups
  • items/shop
  • items/slots
  • items/trinkets

If you see any issues (i.e., incongruous sprites, things that aren't "Edmund-faithful" enough, sloppy spriting, unfinished graphics, etc.) do let me know!

Hey @Shweet, is there any chance that you could upload the Items and the other environmental elements as two separate packs?

I totally understand that, and you think you did a great job imitating the style you wanted :) As I mentioned, I really like how everything looks, but I wonder if you'd be willing to upload stuff like machines as a different pack? Having more freedom on how to personalize the experience would make this so much better, in my opinion.
I hope you didn't take it the wrong way of course! Don't misunderstand me, I really do like what you came up with :)

@Patachungs

Thank you for responding. This mod riffs off of Flash, and in Flash stuff like machines did not have the usual outlines. I won't be changing that, sorry, but look forward for more resprites down the line.
"Cozy" is not a word I'd expect one to use to describe this mod but I'll take it.
