Information for Travellers

The Inchin system contains three rocky worlds, three gas giants and two asteroid belts.

Inchin’s Star is large, highly active, and prone to flaring.

The planet Inchin is a Desert, Low Population, Poor, meso Hellworld world with a very thin, tainted atmosphere – most sophonts will require a vac suit to survive - and no surface water.

Inchin sits on the Jump-1 trade route of the Collace Arm. However, the incredibly hostile conditions meant that it remained unsettled until 1086, when the wealthy heir to a Collace shipping empire Iarl Rowri decided to build a settlement with the aim of establishing a Starport to profit from passing trade.

Things did not go according to plans. The incredibly hostile conditions, the need to import water, and the increasingly erratic behaviour of Rowri himself ground the project to a halt. Rowri – possibly affected by the anagathics he is rumoured to take – declared himself the self-styled Baron of Inchin.

Rowri soon ran into financial problems.

Currently neither the Starport nor many of the buildings in the domed capital city have been completed, although work continues on a massive palace being built for Rowri when funds permit.

Inchin has a half-built D-type Starport, but few passing starships visit, preferring to refuel from the system's gas giants.

Inchin is a Feudal Technocracy that has increasingly become a paranoid police state. Agents constantly search for suspected dissidents and off-world saboteurs.

Inchin is a poor, low population non-industrial world. The remaining 8,000 inhabitants are mostly construction workers.

Inchin relies on off-world trades to bring in goods to sustain TL-10.

The simulation is currently stable, but that might change when running the simulation forward.
