Reforged!

Description
Reforged! aims to improve the process of reforging gear using a unique minigame and minor quality of life changes.

Reforging now takes longer but rewards the player based on their performance.
Consecutive reforges will rarely result in repeat prefixes and no longer charge the player, until they fail.
After using a new permanent upgrade sold by the Goblin Tinkerer, some items can be 'forged' rather than crafted to give more favourable initial prefixes.

The cost of reforging is configurable.

This mod may be incompatible with other mods that modify reforge behaviour. Feel free to report incompatibilities on the Workshop page.

is compability with magic storage possible in the future?

I believe the hammer tool is described well in the description already. It says, "some items can be 'forged' rather than crafted to give more favourable initial prefixes.". When you craft a compatible item (a pickaxe, for example), you will even get a tooltip prompt indicating the feature. Keep in mind this doesn't support Magic Storage's crafting UI, which I realise is popular.

As Ivory mentioned, I also get terrible outcomes for reforges, which is fine since the minigame, as long as I don't fail, makes the reforge free.
But then I fail to see what the hammer tool does, that I bought from the tinkerer. I used it, it is gone. I can't seem to find any reason for purchasing it.

What this mod needs is a proper description here on the workshop page so basic functionality is explained.

Correct

Hm, you said it may conflict with mods that modify reforge behavior, but mods that add new reforges should be unaffected, correct?
Ivory 17 Apr @ 3:45pm
possibly, i have a mod that allows me to set weapons to one of their previous reforges, that might be the problem
QuestionMark  [author] 14 Apr @ 7:49pm
Strange, the minigame normally selects good reforges when you succeed. There might be a mod conflict affecting the rates.

how does the minigame work??? i hit all three buttons in it and i still get a terrible reforge almost every time, and if i don't hit all three it doesn't reforge at all
