Description
This is an old mod for 0.3 that I found and wanted to fix up. Unfortunately it is very outdated, so I ended up redoing almost everything. This is the first complex mod Ive made mostly myself.

This mod originally added an Ood race via Human Alien Races framework with custom backstories, a faction and a hediff that allowed them to communicate better.

I modified some of the textures a bit, I updated the faction and backstories to 1.5. I switched all of the Humanoid Alien Races stuff to Biotech genes.

But I did more...

I added a gene that sets their talking to 0 unless you have a Communication Sphere equipped. The communication Sphere can be researched and crafted after machining. i also added some genes such as cold tolerant to make them more lore accurate to Doctor Who.

There is a known ascetic glitch where the communication sphere covers the eyes. I need to figure out how to fix this.

@Scionin. Thanks for the feedback. The issue is because I named the file Oodicon instead of OodIcon. I didnt think anyone was really using this mod so I never pushed the fix. Ill do that, I also need to fix a glitch where the sphere breaks the eyes, i might do that tomorrow as well.

I think the ood facial texture (front facing) has the eyes too low on the face, but the side-facing texture is okay.

Also, I'm getting an error in the log:
Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at UI/Oodicon in any active mod or in base resources.
(Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h Line: 39)

Btw thank you for this mod, I like having ood walking around my base :)
