Chollima 9.25/9.11

Beskrivning
The Pyongyang Trolleybus network began construction in the early 1960s. The system was opened in 1961 and intitially consisted of a single line from the railway station to the Three Revolutions Exhibition via People's Army Street and Stalin Street. The line was opened to great fanfare, and was used by the North as proof of the Socialist system's superiority. Over the years, more and more lines were opened across the city, serving various neighbourhoods and industrial complexes. The first trolleybus used on the network was the Chollima 9.11, followed shortly after by the Chollima 9.25.

Chollima 9.11
The Chollima 9.11 was the first trolleybus produced in North Korea, built to operate on the Pyongyang trolleybus network opened in 1961. Externally, it is similiar in appearance to the Chinese BK540. In fact, a single BK540 was produced in North Korea as a prototype, however this never entered serial production. It is named after the mythical flying horse featured in East Asian folklore, which is said to be too swift to be mounted by any mortal man, and can travel one thousand li in a single day.
