FINALLY more streamlined sets!

After losing all my files in January (thankfully kept the blend files!) I am back with more streamliners.

This was commissioned by a Patron of mine, An Iowa Class Battleship, and right before the loss of my files. Because of the wait, I went all out!

Lackawanna/Erie Lackawanna
The Delware, Lackawanna & Western (DL&W) was a Class 1 railroad in Northeastern PA / Western NY. With a terminal in Hoboken, NJ, customers could ride in style along the Phoebe Snow train from there, across the famous Lackawanna Cutoff, to Buffalo NY. The Phoebe Snow was their premier service, lead by EMD E8s and tailed by a pair of Budd Tavern-Lounges.

In 1960, DL&W and Erie merged to become a succesful company for the period (especially compared to the devil Penn Central) and survived up until Hurricane Agnes wreaked havoc among the railroad and caused a sharp decline. Eventually in 1976 it was rolled into Conrail.

Unless noted, all DL&W are available 1940-1960 and EL from 1960 to 1976.

Assets are included as well. All units either have random numbers or random historically accurate car names.

interesting,i think thats because usually,for railroads,locomotive are dependent unit,unlike multiple units which are using as a whole,one or a pair locomotive can be used to draw several train,which require to be easy to mobilize，obviously,a-b-b-a is easier than a-b+b-a to mobilize.

Out of curiosity, do you know why railroads chose the A-B-B-A configuration instead of having A-B at the front and B-A at the back of the train? Surely it would have saved time as the locomotives wouldn't have to be moved to the other end of the train. It would also have looked gorgeous, like a mid-century HST.

Oh yeah no, most of the time I'm fine with people using them as long as it's not for payware. Don't want people profiting of my literal 1000s of hours. Lol

No people definitely can reskin them! I know tissues is planning GN, and santadino has a few more. Interns mod was broken though. I've been working with him on it, but he removed the skirts on all his models and uploaded the teasers textures as well, his mod was almost 1gb where it should have been no more than 75mb. He'll be uploading a fix soon

I'm curious, someone recently released a streamlined coach set based on your models for the Santa Fe Superchief. But then they removed their mod a day or so later. Do you prohibit other modders from creating skins for your mods?
