BanovFrost is still a work in progress, and it’s not yet exactly where I want it to be, but the map is already 100% playable and available for you to use. Feel free to enjoy it on your servers!

If you’re interested in custom missions for the map, you can find them on my Patreon for €4.99. Once the map is fully complete, I plan to make these missions available for free on GitHub. Until then, your support helps me continue improving and expanding the map.

BanovFrost is the first map inspired by the diverse Slovak landscape, specifically the Banov District and its surroundings, now transformed into a harsh winter wonderland. With an area of 256 km² covered in snow and ice, it will keep you occupied all day if you decide to explore its cold depths.

BanovFrost features 1 city, 35 villages blanketed in snow, 2 frozen water reservoirs, 1 large airport, 2 small airport, and many other interesting places and dwellings marked by the passage of time and harsh winter weather. As a bonus, we've added special hidden locations throughout the map, and it will depend on your skills and abilities whether you can find them in the snowy terrain.

BanovFrost means navigating through dense, snow-covered forests, crossing frozen meadows, trekking through icy swamps, seeking refuge by frozen rivers, all while encountering the resilient winter wildlife of the region. You can enjoy frosty panoramic views, search for essential items and food necessary for survival, but above all, it's a battle for survival as danger lurks at every icy corner. You'll also be challenged by rapidly changing winter weather, where a clear sky can suddenly turn into a fierce snowstorm.

Additionally, BanovFrost is home to four large underground complexes that play a crucial role in the map's storyline. These hidden and deeply buried complexes, even colder and more treacherous in the winter, add a new dimension and tension to the game, offering various challenges and mysteries that motivate players to explore and collaborate. Uncovering and exploring them is key to progressing in the map's narrative and can reveal important information, supplies, or unexpected dangers. So, be prepared for underground adventures and don't forget to rely on your courage and tactics when investigating them in the freezing environment.

Inspired by real cities, villages, and forests, you'll find not only beautiful, snow-covered scenery on the map but also safe locations where you can build your base and hide from other players, whether they are survivors fighting the cold or those affected by the infection. Given the dense winter forests and frozen watercourses, you'll have plenty of options to obtain food. With a bit of skill and luck, starvation will not be your fate in this winter wasteland.
