Little Dreamers: Halloween Event 2024 [Singleplayer Campaign]

Description
Join the Spider Dance!
Different type of experience in Serious Engine. You play as a Spider from 3BFE. Not only that but also, accompanied by a lots of other Spiders that fight by your side. Embark on a whimsy trip full of wonder. This is the Ultimate Little Dreamers experience.

[Gameplay]
To fully finish the Campaign you need to follow the Spiders and stay by their side. Use them as shield because you only die once and then back from the last saved location. Auto saves are there as well just in case you forget to save your session. Spider Allies move to random positions which means each loaded save or new session, they might go to a different direction than you last remembered. You are equipped with Melee which is your Spider Mouth and Acid Spit which in Serious Sam's terms "Grenade Launcher" So predict your Spit velocity to hit the mark. Your Allies move in Groups.


[REQUIREMENTS]
Remade again as a free from other Little Dreamer Project dependencies. Make sure you also have Subscribed to listed Resource Packs in order for this mod to function.
You must launch your game in Moddable Version otherwise you'll start a Vanilla session which means the Campaign wont appear in your Singleplayer Campaign List.

[FEATURES]

- Usage of Custom Alice Models that have been remastered for this Project all the way to 4k

[PROJECT INFO]
While the style of my old mod Little Dreamers: Minigames remains the same, this one however is more reworked and slightly more polished. Not to mention it does not require my old Little Dreamers Projects for this one to work. Only the Resource Packs are required.
Spider voices have been reworked. Now they include Borderlands Psycho's Voice Lines pitched up to give that whimsical clown show. Especially when there are group of Spider Allies in one location talking nonsense. Beautiful i guess.

[PROJECT'S TITLE]
Named LDPlus. This project stands as a functional Asset preparation for other Little Dreamers upcoming Campaigns, Events. This is gonna be the new Little Dreamer's Base full of content and custom Assets which will be used for other LD Projects. Basically same as my old LDMinigames title.

[MAP TROUBLESHOOTING AND NAVIGATING]
World informs you on what's happening but if by a mere chance you get lost, you can just follow the Health, Armor Pickups. Allies will navigate back to that location, where the last Health Item was picked so stay there and wait for your Allies to regroup. Once you see "Follow The Spiders" text do not stay in the same zone you just claimed. Move on to another location where Health is located. You can stay in the same zone you just claimed but you'll have to idle there for a bit.

[ISSUES]
- Sometimes Ally Spiders stand still for quite some time. (It's due Box Of Functions AI picking next zone destination for your Allies to claim. Once that's done, your allies will navigate there so do not keep distance from your Allies.)
- World says that the Zone is claimed yet the enemies still spawn in the middle of game's pace change. (Usually happens on Zone 7/7. Stick to your allies they will navigate to the so called "Tree Bark")
- Spiders stand still (Maximum standing still time for them is 45 seconds. Just be close to them to see where they will head next. They move in groups)
- Some Spiders get left out (Follow moving Spiders instead of those who decide to stand still whenever the World says "Follow The Spiders". Once you reach your destination the Spiders that got left out will come to the zone and regroup with the others.)
- During Escort Event some Spiders stay back (It happens due to big stress factor on their AI. Only few Spiders stay behind but there is also a chance that a lot of them get left out. Just follow the Big Spider that you have to Escort and they will return to it)
- Zone Scripts loop (This is to ensure that none of them become inactive due to Box Of Function's AI Decision making)
- Some models that are meant to be on the ground may have been accidentally left floating (Probably a sign of my design)

[QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS]
-Why do some Spiders stand still while some move on to another zone? (It's common Game Engine's issue. When AI is stressed they ignore their Tactic even if they were told to not abandon the tactic while they're on the move.)

-Zone completions are not on point. (I do not know how to sync it properly. It's using Delay Predictions.)

-Why do Spider Allies do not die? (To prevent Script issues and game breaking bugs. They will become mortal in the final boss area.)

-It does not feel like Serious Sam experience. (It's inspired by Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare gameplay and NOT Serious Sam. My task is to bring new experience to Serious Sam's Engine with slight feel of Serious Sam gameplay, but not FULL experience. It's modified in a different way.)

-Why there is only two weapons? (Right now at the time of writing, Little Dreamers are born with jaws "Melee" and ability to spit acid. I am trying to keep them natural instead of giving them various magic abilities)

-Why there is Sam's hand in the Weapon selection menu? (To prevent accidental changes of Vanilla assets and modifying the game title's scripts, i left them be. I am also not familiar with Scripting the Game Titles to feature Default Weapons choice. Right now it uses Chapter Points to give the player default weapons)

Сделано очень красиво с технической точки зрения, но сама идея не зашла ни разу.

@Mike Uchiha Alice assets kinda ruin the performance but not by a lot. It's mainly vegetation assets which is problematic for Fusion's engine.
During my tests i had mnimum 58FPS and all the way to 178FPS with 4k maxed out settings.
What i smoke is nicotine and a lot of drug music :D
