Description
Wizworks (Wizardry-like dungeon RPG)


This is a homage to Wizardry (1981, Sir-Tech).
This game is made by Lua.

STORY


An amulet belonging to the Mad Overload WORST SMORK has been stolen by the wizard MEGA TOE.
You must defeat the evil wizard who is holed up in the underground labyrinth and retrieve the amulet.

LIFE


The only status of an ally is Life.
Life is health, strength, and the cost of using skills.
  • When it reaches 0, you die.
  • Decreases when you take damage.
  • Decreases when a skill is used.
  • Weapon attack power and skill power also increase according to the max life.
  • Recovers to the max life after the battle is over.
  • The max life may be increased when winning a battle (growth rate differs for each class).
  • The max life is reduced when killed in battle.
  • The max life is further reduced when wiped out in battle.

CLASS


There are 4 classes: FIG(Fighter), THI(Thief), PRI(Priest), and MAG(Mage).
  • DOJO in TOWN to change classes
  • The max life is halved when changing classes
  • Skills are not transferred due to class change
  • Initial classes are FIG - FIG - THI - PRI - MAG - MAG

Passives for each class are as follows.

The formation will be 3 in the front and 3 in the back.
For system reasons, the formation cannot be changed.

GEAR


Gear can occasionally be obtained from treasure chests or by winning battles.
However, it is not possible to pick up gears that have lower tier than the one being equipped.

SKILL


Class-specific skills can be used in combat.
  • To use a skill, you must pay life as a cost.
  • Common skills do not require a cost.
  • The cost is a percentage of the max life (the percentage is different for each skill).
  • Skills are effective only within the turn in which they are used.
    (Therefore, using defensive skills at the later in the turn is less effective.)

PASSWORD


Life, items , etc. can be stored in password.
  • INN in TOWN to stay to see the password (screenshot recommended)
  • Enter the password in the property PASS and select [LOAD GAME] on the title
  • The auto-mapping state will be reset.
  • For system reasons, the max life is rounded down to the nearest multiple of 4.

RENAME


The character name can be changed by changing the property N1-N6.

  • Monsters have parameters for weapon attack resistance and spell attack resistance
  • Life growth rate is affected by max life and current floor depth
  • Life growth rate is not affected by the number of monsters
