There will be an update at some point. My testing says that the 1.5 version works fine in 1.6 as well.
Incestuous relationships are possible in vanilla but they can not be forced using the social tab functions.
This does not prevent them from forming relationships only factors the success chance of a relationship forming based on a value defined in XML and those being high and low is based on the relationship assigned between the two and should respect the 5 degrees of like/hate a pawn would have to their duplicate.
You can use "word of love" from Royalty to greatly increase the chance of a relationship forming in doing it manually is what you are after.
In vanilla the relation will prevent you from manually triggering a relationship forming interaction due to the relationship being a blood relation. But passive method and "Word of Love" Psycast will work.
This mod does not alter any vanilla romance code but will respect any changes another mod might impose such as removing the blood relation filter to manually triggering romance if such a mod exists.
Since day one it was already possible.
By default dupes should have very high romance compatability due to sharing age and traits.
In vanilla only gay or bisexual dupes went after each other. With this mod who goes after each other is based on both pawn genders and their sexuality traits using what ever romance configuration you are using.
Lastly in this mods setting is a toggle to assign to new dupes a relationship trait, this can either make them love each other, or hate each other. It will be consistent so long as their backstories don't change. It is also possible to override the outcome for a backstory with xml to a desired relationship.
