EDIT! Switch between persistent and regular throttle.

My version of the WW 2 Soviet SU-122 self-propelled gun.

The SU-122 had a crew of 5, commander, driver, gunner and two loaders, but since Bob and the guns are thicc AF I have only used three seats in addition to the driver's seat.
It is very much an approximation as the mantel and gun mount are difficylt to replicate in the game without a ton of glitching and clipping. Some minor instances may still occur.

The SU-122 (from Samokhodnaya Ustanovka 122 mm) was a Soviet self-propelled howitzer or assault gun used during World War II. The number "122" in the designation represents the caliber of the main armament, a 122 mm M-30S howitzer. The chassis was that of the T-34.

The first SU-122s produced in December 1942 were sent to training centers and two new combat units, the 1433rd and 1434th self-propelled artillery regiments. Initially, each of these mixed regiments consisted of two batteries with four SU-122s each and four batteries with four SU-76 tank destroyers each. Each regiment had an added SU-76 tank destroyer as a command vehicle. It was planned to raise 30 self-propelled artillery regiments operating within armoured and mechanized corps.

In April 1943 separate regiments were created for SU-76 tank destroyers (light self-propelled artillery regiment) and SU-122s (medium self-propelled artillery regiment). The medium self-propelled artillery regiment consisted of four batteries of four SU-122s each. Each regiment was also equipped with either an added SU-122 or a T-34 for the commander and a BA-64 armoured car. This organization remained in place until the start of 1944 when the SU-122 began to be replaced by the SU-152, ISU-122 and ISU-152 heavy self-propelled guns, and the SU-85 tank destroyers.

The SU-122 proved effective in its intended role of direct fire on strongholds. The massive concussion of the 122 mm high explosive round was reportedly enough to blow the turret off even a Tiger I if a direct hit was scored, a trait shared with the larger 152 mm howitzers. A new BP-460A high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) projectile was introduced in May 1943; however, its primitive warhead design was only minimally more effective than brute concussive effects of the older high explosive shell. However, like most howitzers, the accuracy of the M-30 was less than that of contemporary weapons designed for anti-tank warfare.

CONTROLS
Driver's seat
W/S: Variable persistent throttle. Works backwards and forwards. Use manual gearbox for more control. / Regular throttle. *
A/D: Steering.
Spacebar: Handbrake/brake. Use this as regular brake too.
Left/Right arrows: Turn driver's persicope.
Alt + Up/Down/Left/Right arrows or Mouse: Aim gun. -10 / +10 degrees traverse, and -3 / +26 degrees elevation. Reload time is about 10 seconds.
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire gun (8 stacked HE guns).
L / Headlights: Light.
K / Hazard Lights: Switch between persistent throttle and regular throttle. *
Camera 1: Gun sight.
Camera 2-4: Observation cupola (fwd, left, right).

Commander's seat (rear right)
Left/Right arrows: Turn commander's periscope.
Camera 1: Commander's periscope.

* IMPORTANT! When switching, make sure the engine is as close to idle (1,000 rpm) as possible to avoid issues.

Hatches and view port are all opened with buttons.

* Works both forward and in reverse. I wanted to try it out since the regular throttle in game is either full or none which is a bit weird. It has a decently big dead spot so it's not hard to find the idling position. I couldn't remove brakes from the axels since then it won't steer so it breaks a bit when reducing the throttle. Use manual gearbox for even more control. The slightly jerky movement we can chalk up to these vehicles being notoriously physically hard to drive requiring quite a bit of muscle to control. Since the throttle is controlled by sensors the tank will still move if the driver switches to Alt-mode to control the gun, so it's recommended to come to a full stop first.
