"The AEK-973 is a Russian selective fire (Semi-Auto, 3-Round Burst and Full Auto) assault rifle that was developed at the Kovrov Mechanical Plant (KMZ) by chief designer Sergey Koksharov in the late 1970´s and 1980's. It's chambered for the 7.62x39mm Soviet rounds and it's effective up to 500 meters with a maximum firing range up to 1000 meters.
