Description
Disclaimer: This mod actually contains two different versions of this howitzer based on what dependencies you run the mod with.

If you run this mod without TBD Mortars and ACE, you will only have access to the D20 "Vanilla" version. This version behaves exactly like vanilla artillery pieces, with no manual loading and other fancy stuff. This version should be usable by AI. Hopefully. It also can´t be transported. It is kinda lame, but you asked for it.

If you run this mod with TBD Mortars and ACE enabled you will be able to access both the "Vanilla" and the "Advanced" versions.


The 152 mm gun-howitzer M1955, also known as the D-20, (Russian: 152-мм пушка-гаубица Д-20 обр. 1955 г.) is a manually loaded, towed 152 mm gun-howitzer artillery piece, manufactured in the Soviet Union during the 1950s. It was first observed by the West in 1955, at which time it was designated the M1955. Its GRAU index is 52-P-546.

The following ammunition types are available:

High explosive
DPICM (The explosion timer on the shell needs to be set by using ACE interaction on the howitzer)
Laser-guided (The laser code needs to be set by using ACE interaction on the howitzer)
Chemical (Not behaving like chemical at the moment, will be added later)
Nuclear (Currently only does a big boom. Only recommended usage is AI slaughter, not recommended for PvP scenarios.)


In order to reload the howitzer:

1. Open the breech (if not already open)
2. Pick up one of the available shells out of a box and load it into the howitzer
3. Pick up a casing out of a box and set the desired charge on it by double clicking on it in your inventory
4. Load the casing into the howitzer. The breech will close automatically
5. (Optional) Aim the howitzer
6. Fire
7. After firing an empty casing will be automatically ejected out of the howitzer. It is not recommended to stand behind the howitzer at this moment
8. Go to step 2

In order to transport the howitzer you need to fold it using ACE first, and then attach it to a vehicle. Once attached, simulation will be disabled and the howitzer will not cause you to get Arma´d while driving over a bush. Upon detaching the howitzer simulation gets re-enabled, so make sure you are detaching it in a safe spot.

CBA already is a dependency if you want to use the advanced version. The vanilla boring version doesn't support towing.

No plans to add it. However feel free to send the offsets our way and we'll add them

thanks for the info, any plans to add cba as a dependency and add it into a tab there, just for ease of use?

Such a list already exists, you can get it by just getting the variable (mission namespace)
`tbd_d20_advanced_towingList`

If you add onto this array, you will enable towing for other vehicles, mission restart isn't necesarry (and would reset it anyway)

May i suggest a cba tab for vehicle towing capability? Currently its a bit of a mess in terms of what vehicle can and cant tow, not just this gun, but other guns made by you (MT-12 Rapira, 2B9 Vasilek). Mby a list of what vehicle classnames would be compatible and and the offset point for where the towing attatches to for each classname? I dont know how hard this would be to implement, but it would definitely be appreciated,

If you can provide documentation that states so, we will think about implementing it.
But to our knoweladge, it does not use high angle in real life.
