Much Love to Dadrick for this build please sub to his workshop to share the feel :) its not oftern I find a build that i can modify and rebuild to suit different scenario as they release or update or be changed so easily to fit diffrent roles or gameplay and most builds i try dont inspire the ideas so ill just sub to something different rather than spend hours fiddling. this ship is one of those few that really is worth the time to make it your own.

I wanted a cv that I could bring in as early as possible to haul loot and just to get out of the starting system asap but didn't want one that i would just scrap and forget as soon as i find a better system. this build comes in with the vary lowest level materials you can build a cv with. upgrades quick and easy while I bring in modules that again are all c1 so everything I need in a playthough with minimum grind.and finally rather than being scrapped the Aegis is perfect for ice mining turrets as once upgraded its a tough lil'cookie with space for 8 shield parts and a hardened front end(more space in front of the bridge currently filled with carbon substrate to keep weight down while providing floors and ceiling >.< swap it out for combat steel or xino depending on if your facing energy weapons or ballistic damage. either way that was the reason for choosing this build. bring it in as early as possible, investments go into modules that can be moved on to a full carrier as my game progresses by which time ill be left with a hardened ice miner thats up to those unfriendly areas that most plastic starter vessels just can be hardened enough not to get blown to pieces.

I found the benefits of off loading storage weight and production cpu onto a module as thrusters, shields and generators are so cpu heavy in Re2 dropping that weight to get the most out of my thrusters and every constructor could be an extra gun that'll tip the balance. Dadricks build holds 2 astra modules (iv 1 for storage+production then a second to take that cpu and power hungry cv repair platform.

-----------Changes
--Dropped cpu right down to c1
--Reduced weight for zascosium free build.. no point in a starter ship if your already gathering mid level materials just get a mid level ship, right?.. but those thrusters really need upgrading the moment you get some zas,
--Ripped out much of the habitation area making space for a full 90 grow plots as farming is one this my modules dont do... converted the 2 bathrooms into en-suit crew cabins.
--Rebuilt main bridge as floor was removed for grow lights on lower level.
--moved radar allowing for mining turret to take point for easier mining..install once zas becomes available.
--Built mountings on the back for simple remove and upgrade detector to radar to array as materials and cpu become available.I can happily faceplant my 3rd module on this and put the radar somewhere else. once Dadricks propper thrusters are installed the Aegis can easily tow the extra weight :)
--Created space for a second advanced plasma turbine...once ma.....upgrades take time :p
--Swaped out a controller for a harvest controller..vary proud that i changed the LCD hologram from saying cargo to 'Rocks'..its the same number of letters and im not smart.
--Re textured hull 3 times..gave up set all to smooth so grab your spray gun and have fun :)
