Description
Nilssoniocladus was a deciduous genus of... well, probably bennettite, which lived in the northern hemisphere during the latter half of the Cretaceous. It was a form genus of a short shoot, which would've borne a cluster of Nilssoniopteris leaves and dropped itself off of the main branches during the darker months.

The species N. yukonensis grew in the Fox Hills and Hell Creek formations of Late Cretaceous North America. Saurian's Field Guide to Hell Creek states that, as one of the last Bennettitales (if not the last) in a world of flowering plants, they were pushed to environmental margins, specifically salty and brackish areas.

Contains both 3 clusters as well as the individual plants. Separate with box select.
