Weightless Speed Stamina

Description
As the title + image implies, a stamina balance mod based on the system present in Helldivers 2

Late upon a gloomy night, I had set out for the stamina mod of my dreams, one that doesn't outright disable, yet also doesn't send the system into obscurity, I couldn't find such, and as the old saying goes...

But what does it do?
Makes various changes to attempt to bring stamina in line with HD2's gameplay, where one can carry pretty much anything, run 100-200m, and do it again after a short rest, to that end:
  • Changes staminaCooldown to 3 (default 10),
  • Changes staminaDuration to 40 (default 60),
  • Changes staminaRestoration to 2 (default 1),
  • Changes maxSoldierLoad to 3000 (default 1000)

In all, it reduces the delay between empty stamina and your next sprint, slightly reduces total stamina, to offset the increased carry limit, (as in vanilla you can run just short of 400m with an empty loadout, and you'll be much closer to that) and of course, the most important changes, doubled stamina regeneration, and a tripled carry limit; gone are the days of having your legs impounded for the crime of bringing an AT loadout, while weight still exists, most loadouts will range from around 1/5th to 1/2 of the bar being taken

Do these changes effect the ai since I feel like an issue with most stamina mods is the changes don’t really show in your squad members ruin the pacing of the formation

I'm a total noob at Steam workshop, so bare with me. I've suscribed to your mod, restarted the game, but I noticed no changes to the stamina mechanics. Any tips?

Hi, Is the weapon sway reduction a intended feature or a consequence of the changes? Because this stamina system would be perfect with the vanilla weapon sway for my group. maybe a setting to change it server side?

Used this in one of my groups multiplayer missions recently, I'm not sure what happened but the mod did not work as intended but when I tested the mission again in a single player environment it worked just fine. Great mod, not super sure why the mod wasn't working in MP though.

Honestly, infinite sprinting never actually crossed my mind, though I would like to attempt it at some point, it may either require to move the mod into scripting, or worse, actual modification of the animations; one doable, the latter not so much, at least for me.

I may begin researching if I can soon, though I haven't played Arma in a while, so the drive isn't there, to hold you over until then, just remember that in HD2 empty sprinting is a fair bit slower than regular sprinting, so maybe the mod is still technically close.

Is it possible to modify such that sprint is always available even at zero stamina- like in Helldivers? Sprint - stop - sprint can become a mild chore to track out of combat, but its still more interesting than "no stamina lol". I'm not asking you to change your mod btw, just if its possible.

Sprinting constantly in combat scenarios would still be punishing, the penalties of sprinting (Sway, Accuracy, etc) remain. Then the decision becomes "Do I keep running- or do I recover in case of a combat scenario?"

Just pushed an update with a new signature, let me know if key issue persists.

This mod makes stamina so much better without outright removing it. :jake::steamthumbsup: I love you.

Bohemia: Let's make the most realistic combined-arms war simulator in history
Also Bohemia: Let's give infantry the cardiovascular capabilities of a 90-year-old lifetime chain-smoker with COPD, emphysema, and congestive heart failure who hasn't had to move faster than a leisurely stroll for over 30 years

Genius.
