If you encounter any other issues with regards to selecting custom strong seeds, then it must be due to another submod.
I am glad that you figured it out though! Please let me know, if you encounter any future issues.
Firstly, I used a DNA string from AGOT+ for a premade character. That was probably a mistake, and if this system uses genes, probably the cause. Then, I married that High Valyrian founder to a lowborn High Valyrian. My confusion arrived when, after using the generator for the first time upon game startup, the first child came out with black hair from two hypothetically High Valyrian parents. I'm not sure why it was black hair specifically, because the DNA I modified for use was Alicent's.
The issue resolved back to AGOT behavior after a second use of the custom seed decision two generations later, pre-update. I'll see how it is post-update, but thank you for your detailed reply.
I have tried it out myself and the strong seed mechanic works as intended.
If you encounter any further issues, please list your load order and tell me what game rule you are using. The "House" gamerule ensures your strong seed(s) will live on through all of your future descendants while the "House Stability" makes your first son and daughter inherit the strong seed while all other descendants have a 50/50 chance of inheriting any strong seeds.
Also, if you are using the Strong Seed Creator decision - and haven't read the decision's description - please read the decision's description. It might alleviate you of any future issues.
