Chillicothe LCKV Mk.6

The Mk.6 Chillicothe was developed in response to the need for greater hangar size and clearance. This she achieves with only minimal loss to constructor output.

This Chillicothe hull was based upsized Kettering rather than a totally new design, and similarly benefits from the efficient hull form. Increased hangar capacity allows for two full size MC-format HVs with space for smaller craft to either side. The Mk.6 features the same cargo volume as her predecessor and stronger thrust capacity to move it. Her advanced and small constructor still make her a versatile ship for any role requiring resource processing and construction capability. Also like her predecessor, she makes a suitable second CV for a player looking to trade up, or a starter for one with extra resources to invest.

Defenses are respectable for a civilian vessel. A tier one shield and eight sentry guns provide sufficient protection against hostile fauna and rogue drones. Maneuverability is somewhere between a glacier and a barn rolling down a hill, which is forgivable in a ship with a rated warp and takeoff masses of 14 kilotonnes at 1G. The ship has crew quarters for 16. If you don't have any crew, repurposing the space for a garden probably would be fine.

And who wouldn't want to try flying a blobfish around anyway?
