MAJOR UPDATE 5-19-2025
HUD Enhancements:
-HUD now includes color-coded indicators for better visual parsing of player vitals, status effects, and system states.

Jetpack Mechanics:
-Speed Limiter introduced when players are near ships to prevent overshooting or accidental collisions.
-Jetpack performance is now dynamically affected by the player’s inventory weight: Heavier load → Reduced speed

Increased stamina drain while maneuvering under load

Sanity System Expansion:
-Airtight Interior Effect: Sanity is passively restored or preserved while inside sealed environments (pressurized ships or stations).
-Combat Penalty: Sustained combat engagements now cause progressive sanity loss, encouraging strategic disengagement or support item usage.

Core Systems Adjustments:
-Refined physics checks near ships to avoid unintentional acceleration.
-Environmental scanning code adjusted to factor airtightness for sanity restoration.
-Modified jetpack thrust calculations to incorporate item mass dynamically.

  • Jetpack speed control:
This mod will limit your jetpack in gravity based on your inventory percentage.
  • Running speed control:
If your Fatigue or Stamina is low you will not be able to run or sprint. Works on moving ships.
  • Fatigue
Restore by crouching, sitting, sleeping or using the toilet.
    Foods can restore Fatigue.
  • Hunger
Restore by eating or drinking foods that fill the different nutrition types: Calories, Fat, Cholesterol, Sodium, Fiber, Sugar, Starches, Protein and Vitamins
  • Stamina
Restore by stop moving. Sitting, sleeping and using the toilet recovers it quicker.
    Foods can restore Stamina.

  • RPG Stats
Level up over time. RPG Stats reset on death!

Tip: Disable automatic health regeneration for the best survival experience.

  • Dynamic stat management: Running, jumping, and combat drain stamina, while resting and crouching restore it.
  • Environmental adaptation: Harsh weather, hunger, fatigue, and oxygen levels impact health and stamina.
  • Customizable: Set multipliers for each stat to fine-tune difficulty and realism.
  • Player exemptions: Define exempt players using a configurable list.
  • Interactive HUD effects: As sanity decreases, experience negative visual/auditory effects and other debuffs simulating the impact of stress and anxiety.

⚙️ iSurvival Stat System

🧠 Sanity
Mental resilience stat.
Drains near enemy fire or in harsh environments.
Boosted by Charisma, Wisdom, Sugar, and safe airtight areas.
If too low, triggers visual effects and fatigue penalties.

🔥 Calories
Primary energy reserve.
Constantly burned by metabolism and movement.
High calories boost Sanity; low calories accelerate fatigue.

🧈 Fat
Stored energy buffer.
Burned by metabolism; high fat slows movement.
Low fat increases fatigue sensitivity.

❤️ Cholesterol
Long-term health marker.
Passive for now; planned to affect heart-health mechanics and penalties.

🧂 Sodium
Salt level in the body.
High sodium increases fatigue rate.
Tied to hydration and stamina systems.

🌾 Fiber
Digestion regulator.
Improves hunger absorption and energy efficiency.
Low fiber causes hunger to spike faster.

🍬 Sugar
Fast-acting sanity stabilizer.
Burned automatically to prevent sanity loss.
Provides a mental "boost" but drains quickly.

🍞 Starches
Secondary energy source.
Burned by metabolism and movement over time.

🥩 Protein
Supports regeneration and strength.
Needed for stamina and muscle endurance.
Low protein increases fatigue loss.

🍊 Vitamins
Regulates absorption of other nutrients.
Required to maintain balance.
Deficiency increases all stat drain rates.

🍽️ Hunger
Composite stat derived from food intake (calories, fat, sugar, etc).
Triggers warnings when food levels drop.

💧 Water
Hydration level.
Low water weakens sanity recovery and increases fatigue.

🛏️ Fatigue
Measures rest and exhaustion.
Drains over time with movement and poor nutrition.
Restored by sleep, sitting, and recovery environments.

🏃 Stamina
Energy pool used for actions (running, jumping, flying).
Recovers when idle, crouching, or well-fed.

💪 Strength
Increases fatigue resistance and reduces stamina drain.
Improved by jumping, sprinting.
Overtraining slowly decays.

🦶 Dexterity
Increases movement efficiency and stamina recovery.
Gains from agile movement.
Slight impact on metabolic cost.

🛡️ Constitution
Reduces hunger and fatigue effects.
Improves endurance and survivability.
Increases metabolic efficiency.

🧠 Intelligence
Reserved for future features.
Will affect logic, hacking, or tech-based interactions.

📖 Wisdom
Improves long-term mental resilience and sanity regen.
Helps during stress or prolonged exposure to hostile conditions.

🗣️ Charisma
Boosts passive sanity recovery.
Will influence trade, morale, and interaction in future versions.

  • Some commands do not work on servers!
  • Add sanity drop from gun fire DONE!
  • Add in-game nutrition status menu
  • File based and in-game menu customization
  • Build compatibility for HUDs, currently you can't use any other HUD.
  • iSurvival-Core will ideally remain untouched. We want others to be able to create addons without worry of change.

piton_world I did a lot of work on balance. I will be adding config options and in game menus in the future. But let me know what you think of the new balance.

Use my trees drop apples and plant and food mod. Both are in the collection. Also recommend starting with the dinghy starter ship.

A bit strange balance, everything ends very quickly. You start playing with 25+ water... There is no food in your pockets and if you start in space then 100% death, because you won't have time to do anything.

do we have more foods yet :{

Hi PJ, if I start a vanilla game and only this mod is enabled I got a lot of error messages and all special values (mod related) are set to 0.

I've never really used configs for any mods before, so could you give me a rundown as to what I have to do to get into the configs?
PepperJack  [author] 2 Dec, 2024 @ 2:55pm
Almost done with the sanity combat effect system

If you have another mod that adds stats it could mess things up. But normally if stamina drains then everything should be working.

Out of curiosity, are there any mod conflicts that you know about? I'm having a strange issue where the mod is not initializing correctly. It's adding the status bars to my hud, I can craft all the items, but nothing does anything. If I can get more information I will. Any advice?
