Albenberg continues the story of EA Alb. It is a nation inspired by Swiss mercenary companies, the legend of St. Nicholas, and some traditions from Tramin in South Tyrol. It also ties the story of Alb with Blodwold, my other mod nation of blood druids and thirsting trees. As the humans get ever bolder, most forgo the old ways. They spill the blood of the fay, mostly the poor Schnappviecher, around the fountains of human towns to end winter early. The Perchte abandon the nation, while the Krampuses, angry at the irreverence of the humans, plunge Albenberg into eternal winter. Crusaders, returning home after defeating an infestation of demonic trees up north, stumble upon the plight of Albenberg and decide to help. The Demonbinders bind the Krampuses to their service and everyone lives happily ever after… except the poor fay creatures.

The nation has some fun mechanics where your Alpenjäger can patrol provinces to capture fay Schnappviecher. These may be sacrificed in towns to lower cold scales or be used in battle. It is the choice of the Awakening God.
