Description
Description
The long, slender, satellite-like hull of Shibui's L40 cargo hauler is an exercise in specialization. While it lacks armor, larger weapons and an extensive interior, the weight saved by cutting these features makes the Neo-Japanese transporter incredibly light - and therefore efficient - for its size. Its fully hybridized power system provides significant uptime; a welcome compliment to its staggering 8 megameter jump range, AI-driven autopilot, and perfectly-balanced gravity drive. The ship's exterior gantries make maintenance a breeze, and simple, dependable computer systems round out its ergonomic spec.

The L40's only Achilles' heel is its Factorum-derived jump drive and power banks; while incredibly capable, L40 owners famously find themselves scouring the sector looking for those ever-elusive Prototech parts.

  • Dealer's notes: Simple and modern, this one. Not a combination you see much of these days. If you're tired of every other manufacturer's feature bloat, this baby is the one for you. She's funky lookin' and a little hard to park, but she can haul damn near anything to damn near anywhere. And that autopilot and gravity drive? Unbeatable. Just don't expect her to handle, fight, or go anywhere near any natural gravity. Like, ever. Oh, and keep a keen eye out for jump drive parts.
