Description
Metasequoia glyptostroboides, the dawn redwood, is one of three still-living species of redwood. It's set apart by its deciduous foliage, its love for wet soil and its wide base. Though it is only native to a few regions of China in the modern day, this genus was spread far and wide throughout the Late Cretaceous.
