HMS Australis Fictional Battle-Cruiser

Description
HMS AUSTRALIS FICTIONAL BATTLE-CRUISER

OPTIMISED!

Welcome to one of the Royal Navy's greatest compact battle-cruiser! This ship boasts various weaponry and utilities to aid in the war effort!

This fictional battle-cruiser was built in 1909 and following 1938 took its first refit that featured new fire control equipment and better protection such as torpedo protection. After the initiation of World War 2 and the shift of naval dominance heading towards carriers, the HMS Australis received another modernisation featuring radar and sonar capabilities as well as extra AA mounts around the ship.

The battle-cruiser survived the Atlantic theatre and in the 50s being seen as obsolete was scrapped for parts to be used in the brand new Royal Navy frigates.

The ship went through some optimisation and should be running better than ever!

NOTES

The ship will work if Infinite Electricity and Infinite Ammo are on.

This is a modded workbench ship and so it will lag on lower end devices!

Turns best at lower speeds!

HOW TO USE
Spawning the ship
  • Go to Addons > Load > Workshop option then click on "HMS Australis Fictional Battle-cruiser".
  • Choose what location provided to spawn the ship, then click on "Test Location". It will take a bit of time to load in.

Turning on the ship
  • Underneath the helms room is a control room that controls lights, main weaponry and your engines.
  • On the aft set of panels, turn on ignition and pumps as well as setting the lever at 1.
  • Wait for the "Engine Ready" light to turn on and then you can utilise full power of the engine in the helms room with the use of the throttle.

Main Batteries
  • In the same room underneath the helms room, the forward set of panels are the main batteries, with the forward gun being on the left and aft gun being on the right.
  • They have basic controls that feature stabilisation, 7.5 second auto-loader and camera. Press space once and wait for the breech to be loaded which can be determined by the sound.

Secondaries
  • Forward secondary controls are situated on the main deck, the door is to the left of the cassette.
  • Aft secondary controls are on the mid deck section at the aft superstructure.
  • They feature basic controls but the elevation is radar guided which is usually accurate and can be used for aerial targets, the radar has a range of 700 metres. It also has a camera attached.

Anti-Aircraft-Artillery
  • Every AA piece are locally controlled with the basic WASD controls, they did use to be fully radar controlled but was somewhat ineffective with the lack of range and hopefully with new mods would come a better radar.

Rocket Artillery
  • Can be used against underwater targets but also are very good at land and position bombardments and controlled locally via WASD.

About: Yurkshire [author] 19 Nov @ 11:51pm
The ship was built in 1909 lore wise and at that time period despite Australia's independent government being formed in 1901, Australia was still in strong relation with the UK and in tribute the RN named the battle cruiser Australis, personally as an Australian myself I would have named it HMAS but unfortunately we did not have battleships or battle-cruisers.

Ohhh Ok thanks, I am Australian Too! :goht34:

What do you mean, "choose location" I can't do that in the addon menu when starting the game. Do I do that in game? Or am I missing a step?

Looks similar to a Prince of Wales class battleship.

@Yurkshire there was the HMAS Sydney or smth around that name which was a Heavy Cruiser.
