Description
The Iranian regime has regularly attacked merchant shipping, specifically oil tankers. The President has ordered the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower(Nimitz-class Aircraft Carrier) and the USS New Jersey(Iowa-class Battleship) to sail through the Strait of Hormuz, for a show of force.

The Task Force will escort an merchant convoy through the Strait, make sure no harm befalls the convoy.

In response of the attacks on international shipping, you have been instructed to find and sink all of the Alvand-class Frigates.

The President wants you to also find and destroy all of the Iranian SAM sites, that have been harassing Air traffic. They are reported to be in the area.

Aside from the first wave of air attack and the S-300, it's basically target practice for A-6's Harpoons.

Another high quality scenario by cent The first attack was challenging. My only suggestion is that you can finish the mission when all enemy's are destroyed instead of having to travel for a long time without any targets left. Now it will say objective incomplete if you exit before you reach the escape zone. Or you could do a decisive victory but objective incomplete.

Tobias. if you dont have 64GB of ram or at least 32GB of fast ram you are going to run out. the game has a ram leak and over about 2 or 3 hours its eating 28 gb all by its lonesome. Great mission. fun to play.

Hello. Thanks for the scenario. Minor comment, there is a typo in the opening message: 'an meerchant' instead of 'a merchant'.

Gotta say that as much as I love this scenario (it's GREAT for learning how to run a carrier group), it consistently crashes in the second half whenever I try to destroy the second SAM site. Idk if its just the game still being EA and unstable, but its frustrating. I like the challenge and the need to use tactics to protect your ships/planes and avoid civilian casualties, so hopefully patches to the game allow me to finish this out.
