Description
Welcome to Syracuse, Sicily, Commander.

We are very happy to see that you made it here safely.

The situation here around Sicily is quite calm, we mainly oversee merchant traffic.

Either way, we are heavily guarded, we have the Chandler(Kidd-class) and the Ainsworth(Knox-class) including the airbase itself. Our airbases are gaurded by several batteries of MIM-104 Patriots missile sites!

We have gotten reports about an Soviet naval exercise happening nearby, we dont expect anything unusual from this.

All Quiet in the Mediterranean Sea.

Main Objective: LAUNCH RECON PLANE AND INVESTIGATE THE SOVIET EXERCISE, REPORT BACK WHAT YOU SEE.

@SwissPidi Thank You! Its probably because i didnt do the triggers correctly but you should be able to exit the mission and still have reached victory :steamthumbsup:

Holy moly, so many MIGs incoming... nice job. Got the mission in the first run. But after it said "The Reds are running", there is no end. Is this by purpose?

Played it again. B-52 worked but only if I launched just one. Launching 2 or more causes them to get stuck at end of runway. Fun mission

Don't try to launch B-52s. They get too the runway and then just sit there rendering the airbase useless.

High intensity combat that's for sure. Was doing fairly well until I tried to launch a B-52 strike and they just froze on the tarmac and refused to take off. Ah well, I'll give it a try later with Intruders and see what happens.

Dosent' load in Build #130. Is stuck in loading screen forever.

I've managed to complete the mission. However, there's a mistake, which makes the Orel have double the planes count it should have. The author did not remove the planes that are already airborne from the Orels loadout. This artificialy prolongs the mission beyond pleasure and makes it feel really unfair given that you simply don't have enough missiles to shoot down all of them. Thumbs down for this reason.
