Description
By Janleon: Hello Beaver community, after long studies of the old Beaver texts, we realized that one of 33 fates was buried in this cliffy region. You have been sent to complete this task and find it. Can you rebuild the destroyed canals and revegetate the cliffs? How will you survive the long droughts? We look forward to your new great Beaver Empire!

This 99x99 Map is on the Hard Side due to limited space and a difficult terrain in the early-mid game. In addition to that drought can be very hard and dams are not easy to build!

thx a lo Lobotimes for you insight and thoughts... and i can relate. This Map is one of my older ones and i "cut back" on trees on slopes in my last ~20 maps and all maps in the future. I still think some are needed for optices but only a few*! I promise :P

I have about 2k hours on Timberborn, so I went in looking for a challenge, and this map delivered. Played on Folktails medium. Almost lost a colony due to flooding trying to clear out the ravine.

The only thing I'd say to the map creator is something that I've been seeing a lot with recent maps; placing trees onto single blocks up and down a cliffside. This map is chock full of dead oak and birch trees all up and down the cliff sides. Trying to clear them out without dev-tools is a nightmare, and it's a trend I'd hope will go away. It makes the map look nice, but it's a real annoyance to play on, especially when you're struggling to keep the last 10 beavers alive and you need to terraform the cliffside to make more carrot farms and there's a forest of dead birch trees all on single blocks up and down the ravine blocking you from doing so. I just end up using dev tools to remove them, as I can't stand using 20-30 wood/planks to build ladders to get rid of a tree worth 1 or 2 wood.

Currently playing with Folktails on Normal difficulty and I absolutely love it. I especially admire how nuanced the water phychysics have been put to use. Placing one levee too many can screw up my entire colony. 💪👍

I have no idea how golktails will fare on hard mode but I'll figure it out soon enough.

i will do one more test run in the future with folktails and take a look. thx for the comment. Sometimes a challenge is what we need :D

the first one (don't know the name in english). I retry the map with the second one (iron theet?) and it seems far easier (but still hard). I don't complain, it's nice to see this challenge

Its designed to be hard. But not for one specific faction. Whitch one did you play?
